The UW-Whitewater football team enters the 2011 NCAA Division III playoffs on one of the greatest streaks in NCAA football history - in any division.
Whitewater has earned seven consecutive Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Association Division III titles, advancing through the NCAA III playoffs the last six years to the championship game, the Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl, where the Warhawks won national titles in 2007, 2009 and 2010.
The Warhawks are currently on a 40 game win streak - it is the longest active streak in college football. The streak also moved into a tie with the University of Washington (1908-1914) for the fifth longest in NCAA history, any Division.
UW-Whitewater football is "powered by tradition" having won Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship 32 times: 1913, 1914, 1922, 1932, 1937, 1940, 1941, 1950, 1959, 1960, 1962, 1966, 1967, 1969, 1974, 1975, 1978, 1980, 1984, 1987, 1988, 1990, 1994, 1997, 1998, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011
