The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater plays their home football
games at Perkins Stadium named after legendary Warhawk Head Coach Forest
Perkins. The Stadium was dedicated on September 12, 1970 with the first
game played against Trinity College of Texas. The stadium's all-time attendance
record of over 10,000 was not for a football game, but for Neil Diamond
concert, which was part of UWW's homecoming in 1970. The Stadium was originally
named Warhawk Stadium. It was re-dedicated Perkins Stadium on September
14, 1996. Perkins Stadium is the largest NCAA Division III football stadium
with a capacity of 11,000. The WIAC has three of the six largest stadiums
in NCAA Division III football.
